Dr. Amanda Riojas manages the Scientific Computing Group for Brewer Science, based in Rolla, MO.
She is also the Advice Section Editor for The Scientista Foundation Advice Blog, Freelance Writer for Fairygodboss, Secretary of the Central Texas Local Section of the American Chemical Society, and Chair of the Central TX LS Women Chemists Committee.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry from St. Edward's University in 2008, Dr. Riojas defended her doctoral dissertation in physical chemistry at the University of North Texas in December 2014. Her research interests include ab initio and DFT investigations of large systems (more than 15 nonhydrogen atoms), and she is currently accepting applications for a Data Analysis Intern.
Her outside interests and volunteer activities also include science and technology policy, advocacy for women and minorities in the sciences, and St. Edward's Alumni outreach.
