The 26th ODS topical meeting provides an excellent forum for exchanging information on the status, advances, and future directions in the field of optical data storage.

The main focus of this year's meeting is technologies for the fourth generation systems: holographic, multidimensional, near field, super resolution and hybrid recording. Chairs are accepting summaries in a variety of other areas as well, and particularly encourage submissions from university researchers working on alternative technologies and theoretical studies.
