Solar & Alternative Energy

Solar presentations from SPIE Optics + Photonics 2011

More than 120 open-access multimedia presentations are now available from the 2011 solar conferences at SPIE Optics + Photonics.

11 October 2011, SPIE Newsroom. DOI: 10.1117/2.3201110.01

Presentations on advances in photovoltaics technologies, grid integration systems, market prospects, and other solar energy topics reported at SPIE Optics + Photonics 2011 recently are now available via open access on the SPIE website.

Access the presentations at spie.org/OPsolarpresentations.

Eight plenary talks and more than 120 conference presentations have been posted in slide-plus-audio format. Presenters represent industry, academia, and government labs, and include researchers and developers such as Howard Branz (NREL), Sean Shaheen (Univ. of Denver), Vahan Garboushian (Amonix), I. E. W. Samuel (Univ. of St Andrews), and Dick de Boer (Philips).

Together the presentations provide nearly 50 percent of talks given in the Solar Energy and Technology symposium at Optics + Photonics in August, 2011.

Full-length manuscripts for accepted papers from the symposium are published in the SPIE Digital Library, and in print volumes and digital collections.
