Ian Reid: The Innovation Centre Programme in Scotland

In this photonics industry session, Ian Reid of CENSIS gives an overview of the role of Innovation Centres in the Scottish innovation and economic development landscape, including a look at the range of operating models, how innovations are engaging industry and academia, expectations as to what is ahead.

Ian Reid is CEO of the Innovation Centre for Sensor & Imaging Systems (CENSIS) in the UK. 

Educated at Imperial College London and UCW Aberystwyth, Reid holds a BSc and MSc in Physics. He also has an MBA from the Open University Business School (UK). Reid is a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Physicist and has been elected Fellow of the Institute of Physics, the Royal Astronomical Society, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
