Lisa Gerbracht: Innovations in Sensor Positioning

Presented at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing 2017.

27 April 2017, SPIE Newsroom. DOI: 10.1117/2.3201704.08

Lisa Gerbracht, FLIR (USA)High performance sensors require high performance positioning systems. Designed for payloads of 5 pounds or less, the new FLIR PTU 5 is the most accurate pan tilt in its size class. This extra small positioner can be easily integrated with many different types of cameras and sensors. The FLIR PTU 5 can also be used in harsh environments due to its MIL spec, weatherproof housing.

This presentation explores some of the demanding applications that benefit from a small, rugged, and accurate pan tilt; including robotics, vehicle applications and unattended ground sensors.

Lisa Gerbracht is OEM sales manager for Motion Control Systems, at FLIR Systems, Inc.
