Long line laser modules

ProPhotonix

ProPhotonix Limited, a designer and manufacturer of LED illumination systems and laser diode modules, announces the deployment of long line length structured light laser modules for large-scale industrial alignment to a critical aerospace manufacturer's production line.

ProPhotonix designed a 660nm laser module to operate at eye safe output power levels. The fixed focus laser generates a single laser line for use at working distances ranging from 18 to 1800 inches (450mm to 4600mm). The laser beam exhibits visually uniform line thickness that is not more than 0.080 inches (2mm) wide at any point along the line across the entire working distance range. Its line straightness deviates by less than 1% across the entire line length ensuring that precise measurement is achieved during production.

ProPhotonix will display the new laser at Photonics West 2015, from 10-12 February in San Francisco, California.
