John A. Turner is a Principal Scientist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. His research is primarily concerned with enabling technologies for the implementation of hydrogen systems into the energy infrastructure. He has received numerous awards for his research, including two Outstanding Mentor Awards from the United States Department of Energy for his research with undergraduate students. This video interview was recorded in August 2006 at the SPIE Optics & Photonics Symposium in San Diego, where he gave a plenary talk.
