Press Releases
| Optoelectronic systems of Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant From 6 to 8 April 2010 one of the leaders of optoelectronic branch of Russia Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant (UOMZ, Ekaterinburg) participates in the international exhibition «Defense, Security & Sensing-2010» in Orlando (USA). UOMZ – Russian producer of optical-electronic devices of military and civil destination having more than semi-centennial history. Products of the enterprise are solely based on the latest achievements of applied optics, laser, television and thermal imaging engineering. Advanced technologies, compulsory warranty and after-warranty service of the supplied equipment, orientation to the demands of the customer are the main lines of UOMZ sales policy. Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant is a longstanding supplier of optical-electronic systems to the leading Russian producers of aviation equipment. During recent decade UOMZ has entered the world market with a wide range of systems of optical surveillance for different air vehicles and unmanned aircraft complexes. Application of modern technologies and special design solutions ensures competitiveness of the articles of Ural enterprise. Systems of optical surveillance of Urals Optical and Mechanical Plant are based on the gyrostabilized platform, on which optical electronic sensors of high resolution are placed. These systems allow receiving stable image of high quality at any types of survey, at any time of the day and the night, under the conditions of restricted visibility, swinging and vibration of the carrier. They are installed at aviation, marine and land carriers, and also in stationary places of surveillance. SON-730 system is one of promising products within the range of systems of this class. Engineering solutions applied during its development have allowed significant improving of technical characteristics and reducing the indices of mass and overall dimensions. On request of the customer the system can optionally include an additional set of functional devices, for example, device of automatic acquisition and tracking of the object, subsystem of additional electronic image stabilization. Small dimensions and weight are the main distinctive feature of another civil system of optical surveillance SON-820. In fully complete form – system consists of television and thermal imaging channels – system weight does not exceed four kilograms. SON-MR is another one promising product of UOMZ. System design provides the possibility of quick replacement of optical-electronic sensors directly in the operating conditions. Modularity concept which is the basis of SON-MR extends functional capabilities of the system and allows the customer to use complicated and expensive equipment more efficiently. Systems of optical surveillance have wide sphere of application. In particular, they can be used by police and special services during patrolling of frontier areas, or struggle against terrorism and drug traffic. Other field of application of these systems – monitoring of power transmission lines, pipelines and gas lines, road traffic. Capabilities and characteristics of systems of optical surveillance can vary depending on the particular needs of the customer.
