Press Releases
| Telops Introduces Reveal D&I: The REAL-TIME gas detection and identification software Telops, leader in the field of hyperspectral imaging systems and high performance infrared cameras for the Defense and Security, Environmental, Oil and Gas, and Industrial markets, is pleased to introduce Reveal D&I, a real-time detection software designed specifically for detection and identification of gas emissions during field trials. Powerful gas detection algorithms have been ingeniously built into the software to enable Reveal D&I to detect in real-time a large portfolio of gases simultaneously.
Reveal D&I is designed to be used with the Hyper-Cam, the leading standoff infrared hyperspectral imaging sensor for numerous applications including standoff detection and identification of Toxic industrial Chemicals and Chemical Warfare Agents, measurement of flares, leak detection, pollution monitoring, and more. Reveal D&I is the perfect tool to validate existing models, improve experiment productivity and interpret data on the spot. It also allows to visualize the calibrated spectrum at each pixel on the real-time images as well as adjust detection thresholds and assign colours to the gases which are detected.
This high performance, interactive, software, expands the application possibilities of the Hyper-Cam and gives the user flexible detection and analysis capabilities which are very user-friendly since users do not need to develop their own algorithms to use the instrument but can benefit from detecting an important number of gases in real-time. "This new software brings hyperspectral imaging to a whole new level as it provides the user with direct feedback from its ongoing experiments and field trials. It was also designed to make thermal hyperspectral imaging more accessible as the user needs only to focus on its application and not on the hardware." says Marc-André Gagnon, Hyper-Cam Product Line Manager at Telops. |
| Telops Awarded Contract for Two Hyper-Cams from MUT QUEBEC, CANADA, November 11th, 2010 – Telops is pleased to announce that as of Thursday, October 14th 2010, it has been awarded a contract valued at $1.8 million by the Military University of Technology (MUT). The contract includes the initial delivery and further customization of two Hyper-Cams, Telops’ unique Hyper-spectral imaging technology. This substantial agreement with Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna (MUT) reinforces Telops’ position as a leading supplier in the hyperspectral imaging systems market.
‘‘We are honored to collaborate with such a prestigious European University. Our unique imaging technology will support MUT’s efforts to bring science to a higher level and enable new applications in military optical sensing.’’ says Paul Chabot, VP Sales and Marketing at Telops.
Telops Hyper-Cam will be used by the Institute of Opto-Electronics (IOE) of MUT with a mission to support research and education in the opto-electronics. The IOE is engaged in research and development in the field of optical, electrical and mechanical processes, components and systems. Research projects held at the IOE cover broad range of subjects related to opto-electronics from basic research to development prototypes ready for applications.

About MUT
The Jarosław Dąbrowski Military University of Technology (MUT) in Warsaw, Poland is a modern science and research technical university founded in 1951. Its basic educational activity is to provide highly qualified personnel not only for Polish Armed Forces, but also for national security and industry. It is ranked in the top four among Polish universities in the hi-tech area. The University is heavily engaged in research and application activities for national economy. The results are widely applied in environmental protection, medicine and industry. The research, application and modernization efforts are mainly focused in such areas as technical science, chemistry, physics, economy and of course military technologies. The quality of University’s work is reflected in numerous inventions, innovations, patents and prestigious national and international awards. MUT is also an expertise centre for military technology, supporting the Polish Ministry of National Defence in that area. MUT experts and scientists also participate in international projects conducted by NATO’s agendas and organizations and European Defence Agency (EDA). In the frame of such projects they deal not only with the development of purely military technologies, but also work on counter-terrorism and develop crisis management and civil planning abilities.
