DALSA Showcases Latest Image Sensors, Cameras and X-ray Panels at Photonics West

CMOS and CCD Imaging Technology for Medical, Scientific and Extreme Environment, Booth 4204, Photonics West in San Francisco, January 26 - 28 January 2010

DALSA Corporation [TSX: DSA], a global leader in digital imaging technology, will showcase its latest advances including its newest CMOS sensors for industrial and medical applications its family of high quantum efficiency CCD sensors for scientific imaging, and its XR-4S X-ray detectors at Photonics West in San Francisco, January 26 - 28 January 2010, booth 4204. Photonics West is the world’s leading photonics, laser, and biomedical optics event.

DALSA will showcase its newest advancements in image sensors, cameras and detectors:

CCD High Quantum Efficiency Sensors - DALSA is well known for producing high resolution and high performance image sensors. At Photonics West the focus will be on CCD sensors with High Quantum Efficiency. Together with the low dark current performance, low noise amplifier design and the unparalleled linear dynamic range, these sensors provide quantum limited imaging performance for a variety of applications in scientific, industrial and life sciences.

CMOS Sensors for Industrial, Scientific and Medical Applications - Global Shutter CMOS provides high resolution/high speed with a synchronous electronic shutter. Further integration provides embedded high speed Analog-to-Digital Converters, large full well for high dynamic range, and digital control interface for simplified sensor configuration and control.

X-ray Detectors - DALSA will showcase X-ray detectors that utilize CCDs as well as wafer-scale CMOS technologies. The XR-4 family of X-ray detectors, delivering up to 16 megapixels of resolution, with a 150 x 150 mm field of view, and GigE interface for unparalleled image quality. A monolithic 11cm x 15cm wafer-scale CMOS detector will also be shown to demonstrate how DALSA can scale this technology to very large X-ray panel sizes to achieve quantum limited performance in scientific and Non Destructive Test applications.

Highly Sensitive, Cooled Scientific Cameras and Sensors – Leveraging DALSA’s High Quanta series of CCD sensors, these cameras provide the highest front-lit quantum efficiency together with extremely low noise and dark current. A GigE Vision compliant Gigabit Ethernet interface provides flexibility and ease of use in advanced scientific applications such as astronomy.

Advanced TDI X-ray Sensor for Panoramic Dental – High resolution, cost effective, long TDI X-ray module for medical and scientific applications.

Integrate Innovation Now – Samples and Evaluation kits - Samples, evaluation kits and reference designs are available to support the rapid deployment of DALSA sensors, cameras and detectors into next generation builds and new system design.
