| Cost-Effective High Performance High-Voltage 40 W Amplifiers
TREK’s new 2200 Series of 40 Watt High Voltage Amplifiers offers a desirable combination of high performance and attractive pricing. The three initial models of the 2200 Series – Model 2205, 2210 & 2220 – provide output voltage ranges of ±500 V, ±1 kV, ±2 kV (respectively). The 40 Watt reference equates to 40 watts peak, 20 watts RMS.
Trek developed this new series with proprietary technology – leveraging the company’s more than 40 years of amplifier design expertise – to address the market need for cost-effective units which deliver reliable, robust performance.
The 2200 Series delivers additional value since the units are CE marked, RoHS compliant, and HALT tested. The company is also providing a 2 year warranty on these units, doubling the typical 1 year warranty offered by other suppliers.
This new series addresses the market need for cost-effective high performance in electro-optic, MEMS, piezoelectric and other applications. The industries and commercial applications that will benefit from the advancements enabled by Trek HV Amplifier Models 2210, 2220, and 2205 are diverse and include: aerospace, biotechnology, defense, electronics, military, power, R&D and semiconductors.

Primary specifications for the three 40 Watt High Voltage Amplifiers include:
• Model 2205 provides precise control of output voltages in the range of 0 to +/-500 V DC or peak AC with an output current range of 0 to +/-80 mA peak AC and large signal bandwidth DC to 75 KHz (-3dB).
• Model 2210 offers precise control of output voltages in the range of 0 to ±1 kV DC or peak AC, output currents in the range of 0 to ±40 mA peak AC, and large signal bandwidth DC to 40 kHz (-3dB).
• Model 2220 provides precise control of output voltages in the range of 0 to ±2 kV DC or peak AC with an output current range of 0 to ±20 mA peak AC and large signal bandwidth DC to 7.5 kHz (-3dB).
Similar to other Trek amplifier models, the models in the 2200 series incorporate high performance features such as DC stability and wide bandwidth, well regulated and controlled AC output signals, full four-quadrant class AB all-solid-state output stages, DC offset adjustment with front panel metering, and auto-recovery shutdown for output-overpowering protection. The output stage sinks or sources current into reactive or resistive loads throughout the output voltage range. This is critical to attain the accurate output response and high slew rates as demanded by reactive loads.
