Company Description
The optics industry in Spain pooled together to create the Southern European Cluster in Photonics and Optics – SECPhO, founded in April 2009, with the mission to help the sector increase competitiveness, specially through collaboration. From 10 founding members, SECPhO now incorporates over 45 members, from all over Spain and Portugal, representing Large Enterprises, SMEs and Research Centers involved in optics and photonics. . From the beginning of operations the cluster has focused on three strategic challenges: R&D+i and Productivity, Visibility and Internationalization, and Betterment and Retention of Talent.
SECPhO's member base are present in many industries sucha as Defense, Space, Optical Metrology, Renewable Energies or Transport, among other; offering technology in Optical Metorlogy, Lasers and Laser Applications, Optical Design and Enginering, Integrated Photonics Circuits Design, astronomical optics, machine vision and many other technologies.
