Company Description
Semi Conductor Devices (SCD) develops and manufactures cooled and uncooled infrared detectors and laser diodes which are applied in IR seekers, thermal imagers, smart munitions, night navigation systems, laser rangefinders and designators.
SCD has a vertical integration production structure that allows keeping a close control of the products, along the various processes, from the crystal growth to the device packaging and testing. In house capabilities include: Semiconductor processing, LPE and MBE growth, VLSI design, dewar and vacuum technology, assembly and radiometric modeling and testing. SCD also has the experience and know-how in the field of diode lasers, making superior high power pumping diode lasers used by the best and biggest manufacturers worldwide. Main applications of diode lasers are: Space and Defense programs, Aesthetic medical equipment and Security. Among SCD's detectors: InSb two dimensional arrays 320x256, 640x512 and 1280x1024; MCT 240x1, TDI 288x4 and 480x6, VOx Microbolometers 320x256 and 640x512 (25µm and 17µm).
