KLASTECH - Karpushko Laser Technologies GmbH

Company Description
KLASTECH are one of the worlds leading laser manufacturing companies and have developed and manufacture an entirely new and completely revolutionary range of CW Diode Pumped Solid State lasers (DPSS lasers) which provide for a step change in 2nd harmonic conversion efficiency. We understand that in today´s highly competitive commercial world it is not enough just to offer the best technical laser solution. Our revolutionary new laser technology enables the KLASTECH laser manufacturing company to benefit from much greater flexibility in component selection and significantly shortened production cycles, which means we don´t have to ask our customers to pay a premium price for the very finest laser technology.
At KLASTECH we work closely with our customers to ensure that we can meet their exacting requirements. For OEMs we offer a complete design and build service where the customer may require significant mechanical re-design to achieve space or environmental constraints or even where a different wavelength from our standard range is requested.

Our lasers are used in all applications for which CW DPSS lasers are normally utilised from Raman Spectroscopy to Flow Cytometry, from Holography to Hematology or from Confocal Microscopy to Particle Imaging. Whatever the applications, KLASTECH lasers have proven time and again that they can add real value to a customer´s portfolio and instrument performance.

KLASTECH launch brand new range of OEM ready lasers
KLASTECH Laser Technologies GmbH is pleased to announce the launch of the next generation of DPSS and DDD lasers.

During the last 12 months KLASTECH engineers have embarked on a radical re-development of this popular series of CW lasers to ensure that they are truly OEM ready. This program has seen major design changes to the laser heads thereby further improving their already outstanding efficiency and ensuring that they exhibit extreme longevity in high usage environments. This work has also resulted in lasers that achieve <1% power stability over 24 hours.

Coupled with this has been the development of unique state of the art electronics to compliment the famous iMAT® laser technology. These electronics provide the customer with remote monitoring and control features and come equipped with a GUI that allows customers to operate and monitor the laser performance during its lifetime. Uniquely these electronics are future proofed to allow for ongoing software and firmware upgrades and can be customised to allow integration to a customer’s own control interface.

Whilst the controllers come equipped with USB connections as standard, KLASTECH recognises that industrial customers often prefer to use other more robust communication buses. The KLASTECH lasers can be pre-programmed in the factory to work with most industrially standard communication buses so there are no longer any barriers to integrating these lasers to modern industrial production environments.

To compliment the 1064nm and 532nm units, KLASTECH has also introduced the world’s only true 442nm He-Cd replacement laser together with a 100mW 488nm unit, completing a range of truly OEM ready lasers. These new lasers represent a step change in performance providing for stable, quiet, efficient, diffraction limited and inherently single frequency laser light: Delivering the NEXT Generation of DPSS lasers.

Delivering the Next Generation of DPSS Lasers
KLASTECH GmbH specializes in the manufacture of an entirely new and completely revolutionary range of continuous wave (CW) diode pumped solid state (DPSS) lasers. Powered by our globally patented iMAT laser technology which enables impedance matching of the fundamental and 2nd harmonic laser generating cavities, our lasers offer significantly increased 2nd harmonic conversion efficiency over traditional architectures. This unique platform offers still more advantages delivering perfectly single longitudinal mode output with zero green noise whilst featuring a design that produces inherently low optical noise with output beams that are truly diffraction limited. Our lasers are truly Pitch Perfect enabling analytical instrument designers and researchers alike to surpass their highest expectations.

Our comprehensive range will soon span the deep UV through to the NIR. At this year’s Photonics West exhibition we will be showing our Symphony 1W 532nm laser designed with scalability in mind. Easily capable of higher powers, this completely thermo-electrically cooled laser demonstrates in full the high performance of the iMAT laser technology.

KLASTECH will also be showing the smaller 532nm stable mates, Scherzo and Scherzo LP. In addition KLASTECH will be demonstrating the Senza 1064nm laser used widely in Raman spectroscopy.

New to Photonics West is the Concerto, a direct DPSS alternative to the 442nm He-Cd gas laser with >100m coherence length and launching in output powers up to 75mW with higher powers in development for later in 2011.

With the Crescendo, the world’s first and only true DPSS CW ruby laser the Verve, a revolutionary new ultra compact CW deep UV 266 nm laser and the 488 nm Blue Note lasers all coming to the market this year, KLASTECH’s award winning and unique iMAT laser technology really is delivering the next generation of DPSS lasers.
