Company Description
Holoxica is an award-winning company specialising in making digital colour 3D holograms for people who work in 3D to see their work in 3D. Our true digital visualisation technology does not use glasses or optical tricks for viewing. The true 3D images appear in mid-air, which amazes viewers. Our customers are mainly 3D professionals including scientists, designers, engineers and artists. We make the holograms from mathematical models, scanned data or CAD drawings. We are also pioneering a holographic display system, which is currently in the research phase.
Applications range from biomedical (protein structures, molecules, medical images) to automotive engineering and physical sciences. We offer full end-to-end hologram design and production services to our customers with in-house expertise in optics, 3D design and modelling. The digital holograms are fabricated using state-of-the-art holoprinting technology that produces digital reflection holograms as a matrix of small pixels, or holopixels. Each holopixel is about a millimetre square containing an interference pattern synthesised from a sequence of still images of the 3D scene from different viewpoints. The holopixels are written into the medium via the interference of red, green and blue lasers.
We are developing our own patent-pending dynamically changeable 3D holographic display system which is in the research phase. We have done a proof of concept demo in 2010 and are now developing a prototype.
