Company Description
Cristal Laser is a privately owned, independent corporation located near Nancy, France. Our company specializes in the growth and processing of non linear and electro-optics crystals for use in Pockels cells, Pulse pickers, frequency-doubling, OPO's and frequency mixing.
CrIstal Laser's production range includes KTP (potassium Tinanyle Phosphate) and other crystals of the same family, such as KTA, RTP and LBO. These crystals are widely used in many applications from laser surgery, life sciences, security and defense, as well as material processing.
Advancements in crystal growth have enabled Cristal Laser to greatly increase the size and weight of our LBO boules. The industries largest LBO crystal boules are grown in our facility in Messein, which routinely produces boules greater than 1 kilogram in size. The size of available raw
material allows Cristal Laser to produce crystals dedicated to high-energy laser systems. We have produced several defect-free, 2-inch diameter LBO frequency-doubling crystals and are currently working on capabilities to produce even larger sizes with the same high material purity.
While increasing the size of our LBO crystals we have maintained the a high level of material purity. Monitoring of bulk absorption with our in-house Photo Commonpath Interferometer allows us to sustain low absorption levels as we expand boule size, solidifying our position as the world
leader in large high quality LBO crystals.
