Cobolt offers continuous wave (CW) diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers in the visible, ultra-violet (UV) and near infrared (NIR) spectral ranges. The lasers are built on wavelength flexible and power-scalable technology platforms, which enable a wide spectral range coverage (355-1064 nm), and high output powers (10-2000 mW). All Cobolt’s lasers operate in single-longitudinal mode, at a fixed and precise wavelength and emit a TEM00 beam with very low intensity noise.
In addition to the company’s DPSS laser platforms, Cobolt has recently also introduced the MLD series; high performance laser diode modules with a spectral range between 405 and 660nm. The Cobolt MLD series completes the company’s offerings towards demanding analytical applications and add the feature of direct modulation,
All Cobolt's lasers are manufactured using the Cobolt´s proprietary HTCure™ Technology in a compact and hermetically sealed package, which provides a very high level of insensibility to varying environmental conditions and ensures exceptional reliability and lifetime.

| High performance diode laser modules from Cobolt Cobolt AB announces the release of the Cobolt MLD Series lasers, high performance laser diode modules covering a spectral range between 405 and 660nm. The lasers offer optimum beam quality and modulation performance from a small and compact package. Manufacturing using Cobolt’s unique HTCure™ Technology ensures world-class quality reliability and lifetime, as well as unmatched robustness.
The Cobolt MLD lasers provide a spectral complement to the company’s lines of high performance CW DPSS lasers for demanding fluorescence analysis applications such as confocal microscopy and flow cytometry. In addition, the Cobolt MLD lasers add the feature of direct intensity modulation capability, allowing fast and deep modulation from versatile input signals. The selection of wavelengths combined with direct intensity modulation capability make the Cobolt MLD lasers a perfect choice also in applications such as Optogenetics, Microlithography or Metrology.
Cobolt has designed an easy-to-integrate compact diode laser module with all control electronics fully integrated in a laser head of industry standard size. An optional external control box allows CDRH compliant operation with a key-switch and emission indicators.

| Cobolt Jive™ 561nm: Now up to 500 mW on the single frequency 05-01 Series platform. Cobolt AB, Swedish manufacturer of high performance DPSS lasers, announces the release of a higher power model of the Cobolt Jive™ 561 nm on the ground breaking single-frequency 05-01 Series platform. The laser is now available with up to 500 mW CW output power and is perfectly suited to demanding applications such as advanced flow cytometry and super-resolution microscopy.
The Cobolt Jive™ 05-01 is a continuous-wave single-frequency DPSS laser operating at 561 nm in a perfect quality TEM00 beam (M2<1.1). A new proprietary cavity design provides ultra-low noise performance of typically <0.1% rms (over 20 Hz-20MHz and over 10-40°C) and a narrow spectral linewidth of <1MHz as well as being immune to optical feedback. It is available with 200 mW, 300 mW or 500 mW output power on the single-frequency 05-01 Series platform. Lower powers (25 mW-150 mW) are available on the 04-01 Series platform.
The laser is manufactured using Cobolt’s proprietary HTCure™ Technology in a compact and hermetically sealed package, which provides a very high level of immunity to varying environmental conditions and exceptional reliability. Lasers built using the HTCure™ Technology have shown to withstand multiple 60G mechanical shocks in operation without any sign of degraded performance. They can be exposed to extreme temperatures (>100°C), and are insensitive to pressure and humidity.
A compact controller (CDRH or OEM) is supplied with the laser and can be remotely accessed for operation and monitoring of the laser system over digital (RS-232) or analog interfaces. Available on the same platform is also the Cobolt Zouk™ with 10 mW CW at 355 nm, the Cobolt Samba™ with up to 1000 mW CW at 532 nm, the Cobolt Flamenco™ with 300 mW CW at 660 nm and the Cobolt Rumba™ with up to 2000 mW CW at 1064 nm. |
