| ABB is introducing MR-i FT-IR Hyperspectral Imager From scientific research to deployable operational solutions, Fourier-Transform Infra-red (FT-IR) spectroradiometry has been established as an ideal technology applied for the development and enhancemeent of various military applications. With more than 36 years of innovation and being recognized as a world-wide leader in spectroscopy, ABB is expending its line of remote sensing products by introducing a newly developed FT-IR hyperspectral imaging spectroradiometer, the "MR-i". "MR-i" is a commercial imaging FT-IR spectroradiometer having its design sets on the extension of proven ABB Bomem MR Series spectroradiometers. It benefits from the same MR304 / MR170 frictionless and rugged 4 ports interferometer design. "MR-i" is the first commercially available FTIR hyperspectral imaging spectoradiometer capable of dual-camera operation, covering simultaneously the MWIR and LWIR of the Electro-Magnetic Spectrum. The "MR-i" four ports interferometer design allows the combination of two different types of camera modules (MWIR/LWIR) extending the instrument spectral range coverage or the combination of two identical camera modules (MWIR/MWIR) extending the instrument dynamic range. With this unique feature, "MR-i" is capable of simultaneously acquiring and perfectly synchronizing the data of two user’s configurable cameras, hence fulfilling the needs of multiple measurement scenarios. "MR-i" is the fastest FTIR imaging spectroradiometer ever built it generates the highest data-cube measurement rate ever. "MR-i" is equipped with state-of-the-art cameras modules capable of the highest frame measurement rate and is perfectly suited for the characterization of fast moving and rapidly evolving targets. The combination of both camera modules in a single instrument generates an unprecedented measurement rate and provides the largest spectral coverage, highest dynamic range and best time resolution performance ever seen on a FTIR imaging spectroradiometer instrument. |
