GASIR® chalcogenide glass can be molded or finished conventionally with DPT with complex geometry. Umicore has developed coatings, including iDLC hard coating for GASIR®. Umicore launches new GASIR® products
Umicore launches new GASIR® products
Umicore's GASIR® standard assemblies are the preferred choice in the industry for thermal imaging cameras and camera cores. Umicore will further expand its offering of infrared lenses with the introduction of 4 new GASIR® standard assemblies:
" 8.5mm f/1.2: a fully athermalized super wide angle solution for VGA 17µm detectors.
" 10mm f/1.2: a wide angle solution for QVGA detectors
" 17mm f/1.2: a compact fully athermalized lens for VGA 17µm detectors
" 100mm f/1.5: a fully athermalized super telelens for VGA 17µm detectors
These lenses complement the existing range of standard assemblies that contain 6.8mm, 19mm, 35mm and 60mm infrared lenses.

In addition to the enlarged finished optics offering, Umicore is also expanding its germanium and GASIR® blanks product range. Umicore introduces GASIR® preshape blanks. These are molded blanks that offer significant price advantages compared to traditionally generated blanks in germanium or other infrared materials.
