PicWave - active/passive PIC simulator
PicWave - active/passive PIC simulator
PicWave is an active and passive PIC design and simulation environment. Includes sophisticated physical time-domain laser diode and SOA models. PicWave integrates with rigorous EM solvers such as FIMMPROP, allowing you to accurately model large photonic circuits. The latest version now includes a design kit system for InP and silicon fabs, allowing both simulations and mask layouts to be obtained at the click of a few buttons, reliably and with minimal design errors.

Echelle Simulator
Planar Echelle Gratings are an up and coming alternative to AWGs for wavelength division multiplexing (WDM), potentially offering much smaller sizes than the traditional AWG. Photon Design is proud to anounce the release of the first commercially available simulator for Planar Echelle Gratings. This simulator is capable of modelling many different grating designs, including the Rowland Circle format and others, full-vector treatment and full 3D simulation. It can also model coupling between tapered input/output waveguides with the help of Photon Design's other product FIMMPROP.
