Plan to Participate

Present your research at SPIE AR,VR,MR, co-located at Photonics West.

Augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) systems are poised to become the next computing and communication platforms, replacing the ailing desktops and laptops devices, and even the now aging tablets and smartphones. The ultimate MR experience calls for various improvements in comfort (wearable and visual) and display immersion. Such optical challenges can be addressed through an optical design procedure that puts the human visual system at its core. The complexity of the optical hardware, software and content structure can thus be reduced, without degrading the user’s display immersion and comfort experience.

The purpose of this conference is to bring together researchers and engineers from academia and industry to discuss recent developments in this rapidly advancing field. Papers can include research in any optical system, subsystem, or technological building block to enhance the AR, VR, or MR experience in a Head Mounted Display (HMD). These are emerging today as very hot topics in academia, research institutions, and industry, as well as in the venture capital community. Researchers, engineers, managers, industry leaders, as well as market analysts are welcome to share their knowledge and experience and be part of the ongoing digital optics revolution.

This new sympoisum is part of a large three-day event that includes invited industry talks, industry panel discussion, a Student Optical Design Challenge, courses, headset demonstrations, and networking events.

AR,VR,MR is co-located at SPIE Photonics West, the largest biophotonics, laser, optoelectronics, and industrial manufacturing event in North America.

We look forward to your help in disseminating relevant research that positively impacts everyday life in the societies around the world.
