Sune Svanberg receives Large Gold Medal of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences

Professor Sune Svanberg has been awarded the Large Gold Medal from the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences for "exceptionally outstanding achievement within the Academy's field."

An SPIE Members, Svanberg is Head of Atomic Physics Division at Lund University, Lund, Sweden. He will present several papers at the SPIE BiOS conference during Photonics West, 22-27 January 2011, at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, California.
