Singh elected president of ICLAS

Upendra N. Singh, Chief Technologist at NASA Langley Research Center, has been elected President of the International Coordination Group of Laser Atmospheric Studies, organizers of the International Laser Radar Conference (ILRC).

Singh has served as symposium chair for SPIE Asia-Pacific Remote Sensing for several years, and has chaired conferences on remote sensing and laser radar at SPIE symposia in Europe, Asia, and North America. A Fellow of SPIE since 2003, he has published approximately 60 papers with the Society.
