Paniccia is named 'Scientist of Year' by R&D magazine

Mario Paniccia

Intel Fellow and SPIE member Mario J. Paniccia has been named "Scientist of the Year" by R&D magazine, in recognition of his work in the area of silicon photonics. Paniccia will participate in an industry perspectives panel at SPIE Photonics West in San Jose, CA, next January, and is an author of technical papers scheduled for presentation at that event and at the SPIE Defense, Security, and Sensing conference in Orlando in April 2009.

Paniccia will appear on the industry panel at SPIE Photonics West with executives from IBM Zürich Research Laboratory, Hewlett-Packard Labs, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Sun Corporation.
