OSRAM research team wins 2007 German Prize for Technology and Innovation

A team of researchers from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, incuding Dr. Klaus Streubel and Dr. Stefan Illek from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, and Dr. Andreas Bräuer from the Fraunhofer Institute for Optics and Precision Engineering in Jena, were awarded this year's prize for technology and innovation from the President of Germany. The prize was awarded specifically for thin-film chip technology and its application in the Ostar family of LEDs. Members of the prize-winning team and other OSRAM researchers have contributed many articles to Proceedings of SPIE, and OSRAM companies are frequent exhibitors at SPIE and SPIE Europe events.
