Lula will present on ceramics in astronomy

Brian Lula will speak on piezo ceramics in astronomical instrumentation.

Brian Lula, SPIE Fellow and Secretary-Treasurer, will speak on "Piezo Ceramics as Tools in Astronomical Instrumentation" at the 17 September meeting of the New England Section of the American Ceramic Society. The meeting will be at the Westborough, MA, Doubletree Hotel. A full meeting notice including abstract, speaker bio, and online registration information is available at www.neacers.org.

Lula is an internationally recognized astronomical photographer know for his deep-space CCD images  published by popular astronomy and technical magazines worldwide. As president of Physik Instrumente LP, United States (a subsidiary of Physik Instrumente GmbH), Lula has expertise in the sophisticated piezo-ceramic actuation technologies required by amateur and professional astronomers alike. Physik Instrumente will host a technical product exhibit and demonstration before the lecture.
