SPIE Fellow Lenny Lipton featured in Wall Street Journal

Lenny LiptonSPIE Fellow Lenny Lipton, founder of StereoGraphics Corp. and president of Oculus3D, is featured in today's Wall Street Journal. Lipton weighs in on 3D technology in film, which he says first intrigued him growing up in post-World War II New York.

Lipton has been an active presenter and attendee at SPIE symposia, authoring nearly 20 presentations on stereoscopic imaging, projection, and formats.

He served as  session chair for the panel discussion "Crimes Against 3D" at IS&T/SPIE Electronic Imaging, and was a conference program committee member for the SPIE Optics + Photonics conference, "Optics in Entertainment."

Lipton has independently produced 25 films, and has been granted 25 patents in the area of stereoscopic displays.

Lipton was honored as an SPIE Fellow for achievements in stereoscopic imaging.
