Hell microscopy paper in Nature Methods' Method of Year

An article by Stefan Hell, Director of the Department of NanoBiophotonics at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and longtime SPIE author and conference program committee member, is included in the Nature Methods' Method of the Year 2008 Special Feature issue on super-resolution fluorescence microscopy. Prof. Hell is a featured speaker in the Biomedical Optics Hot Topics session at SPIE Photonics West later this month.

Articles in the special issue showcase novel imaging methods and their expected impact on biological research.

Hell has published approximately 40 journal and proceedings articles with SPIE, and is scheduled to prsent several at SPIE Photonics West later this month, and  is on the program committee for the conference on Multiphoton Microscopy in the Biomedical Sciences.
