Grote honored by alma mater

SPIE Fellow James G. Grote has been selected for induction into the Fritz J. and Dolores H . Russ College of Engineering and Technology's Academy of Distinguished Graduates at Ohio University. 

Grote, who received his bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering from Ohio University and his master's degree and PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Dayton, will be honored as a distinguished graduate, the highest honor the college can bestow on its graduates.

Grote serves on the SPIE Board of Directors as well as its symposia committee. His technical interests include b
iotronics, biopolymer materials and devices for photonic and electronic applications; electro-optics; materials and devices; and optical interconnects and optical lithography.
