John Dudley awarded CNRS Silver Medal

John DudleySPIE Member John Dudley, a professor at  Université de Franche-Comté, has been recognized for his scientific achievements with the French National Centre for Scientific Research Silver Medal for 2013.

The award announcement specifies Dudley's work in the fields of nonlinear optics, ultrafast photonics, optical techniques and supercontinuum generation. Dudley is president-elect of the European Physical Society, and leads the project to declare 2015 as the International Year of Light.
