Cho, Keldysh win Rusnano prize

Alfred Y. Cho, longtime author and participant at SPIE Photonics West and other SPIE events, has won the prestigious Rusnano prize for nanotechnology discoveries and innovations. Cho, who developed molecular beam epitaxy and with Federico Capasso co-invented quantum cascade lasers, was awarded the prize along with Leonid Keldysh, who also has published with SPIE.

Cho and Keldysh won the Rusnano prize for an innovation known as semiconductor superstructures and technology of molecular beam epitaxy.
