Chang Wen Chen honored with Humboldt Research Award

Chang Wen Chen, distinguished professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at the University of Buffalo, has won the Humboldt Research Award from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

The award "recognizes lifetime achievements in research and is presented to foreign scholars to allow them to conduct research at German research institutes to promote international scientific cooperation."

Chen is an SPIE Fellow and has authored numerous papers for the Society.
