Terahertz multiband filters fabricated by laser induced and non-electrolytic plating with copper

Paper Abstract

We had fabricated two multiband terahertz bandstop filters on polyimide substrates by laser induced and non-electrolytic plating with copper. One of the filters consists of three different square rings and the other is the combination of individual U- and T-shaped structure. The performance of the fabricated filters was measured using a terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). Three different central frequencies are demonstrated at 0.33THz, 0.68THz and 1.13THz for the square rings filter, whereas 0.37THz, 0.73THz and 0.96THz for the TU-shaped one. The experimental results are in good agreement with finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations.
