Paper Abstract

The conventional Z transform for images is used in creating a spatial parallel algorithm for convolution. Z transforms and corresponding spatial algorithms are also given for wraparound convolution, Mellin convolution as well as for the grey value dilation and erosion operations in mathematical morphology.
