Paper Abstract

To make a display legible from the rear of a large audience, one has to use fairly large symbols, which restricts the amount of information that may be packed into a display of given size. Up to a certain point, this restriction can be relieved by enlarging the screen. The limit is reached when oblique viewing annihilates the advantage of increased magnification.
