Paper Abstract

The successful performance of military operations depends upon the availability of information regarding the location and activity of enemy forces. Such information is obtained from various sources, one of the most important of which is aerial photographs. The photographs are acquired by reconnaissance systems and are then examined by image interpreters in order to extract the desired information from them.
