Single-Source Three-Dimensional Imaging From A Moving Platform

Paper Abstract

A single electronic camera mounted on a moving platform can be used to generate three-dimensional images for remote sensing in near-real time. Preliminary tests with an airborne motion picture camera and VISIDEP (tin) alternating frame technology have been used to demonstrate the feasibility of such a system. With the continued development of high density digital video, high quality three-dimensional video images may be generated in near-real-time with delays of less than three or four seconds.
