Paper Abstract

In this paper, several techniques of white-light holography and some of their applications are discussed. These techniques include the reflection hologram, rainbow hologram, spatial encoding, coherent and white-light speckle encodings, double-aperture encoding, dual-beam encoding, incoherent spatial encoding, source encoding, and white-light Fourier holography. Since one of the interesting applications of white-light optical signal processing is psuedocolor encoding, we shall demonstrate some of those applications to holographic interferometry and metrological studies. Techniques of producing pseudocolor encoded holographic fringe patterns and misfocused speckle interferograms are provided. These techniques allow the viewing of a multiset of encoded interferograms simultaneously.
