Paper Abstract

By employing Gaussian brackets, this paper derives formulae of paraxial ray propagation through an optical system which consists of plural sub-systems decentered slightly one another from the ideal centered position. As an application of the theory, compensation of the focal point shift caused by decentering is discussed.
