Paper Abstract

Infrared thermography has been used, in wind tunnels, to study the transition from laminar to turbulent boundary layer. Different methods have been tested to increase legibility of infrared images, such as signal integration, histogram modifications, colour coding... Some examples of detection of the transition are given.
