Paper Abstract

Functional three-dimensional imaging using integral imaging technique is introduced. Among several functionalities, main focus is made on the depth selective capturing and incoherent hologram synthesis. The light ray field information captured by the integral imaging is analyzed and filtered in the spatial / angular frequency domain for depth selective capturing. The light ray field information can also be used to first generate a set of orthographic view or refocused images and then they are utilized to synthesize the hologram of the captured three-dimensional object.
