Paper Abstract

The NEWFIRM Observation Control System (NOCS) was developed to support an IR mosaic camera. New projects at NOAO include an OUV CCD mosaic imager upgrade and an OUV CCD (cloned) spectrograph to be designed, developed and implemented on a relatively rapid timescale. Rather than re-invent the wheel, we report on adapting the NOCS to support these new capabilities to the 4m instrumentation suite.
