Time-frequency analysis of dynamic light scattering signals of particles

Paper Abstract

A new method which uses Choi-Williams distribution to analyze dynamic light scattering signals of particles was applied in the system. Through this method, the time-frequency distribution of standard polymer microspheres with 90nm, 300nm and 1000nm could be acquired. The experiment results indicated that the smaller the particle diameter, the wider the frequency range of the light scattering signals. For 90nm and 300nm, 90nm and 1000nm mixed particles, when the difference of particle diameter is little, the peak values of frequency deviate to mean value. But when the difference of particle diameter is large, the peak values of frequency concentrate in range of larger particle diameter.
