Paper Abstract

The article shows that the active medium injection into shielded evanescent waveguide structure significantly changes physical properties of the structure: this kind of waveguide has high gain even at low medium gain; cut-off frequencies for all types of waves and modes are absent, gain of the structure is higher for higher modes and increases at crosssection decrease of the waveguide structure. As an example, one can observe the parameters of rectangular and spherical waveguide.
