Paper Abstract

Airborne remote sensing has proven to be a cost-effective tool for monitoring natural and agricultural resources. As digital technology has evolved, airborne systems built around digital cameras have been developed, leading to numerous applications. This paper will describe the evolution of low-cost airborne remote sensing systems and describe applications in hydrology and water resources including evapotranspiration estimates of natural and agricultural vegetation, wetland and riparian corridor monitoring and other water related applications.
