Paper Abstract

Because the aerial digital image updating is more frequent and the data is more mass, the traditional method of image processing based on serial computing is difficult to meet the needs of high production efficiency and rapid respond. For improving the efficiency of data processing, the computing must be parallel. The paper discusses the method of parallel processing of mass aerial digital images based on cluster computer system. It also discusses the method of the quick generation of mosaic image without ground control point, and introduces the application of mosaic image in rapid response and aerial survey. The experiment results demonstrate that the parallel computing obviously improves the efficiency of mass data processing.
