Paper Abstract

We proposed a concept of a roll-type optical advanced memory (RoCAM). RoCAM is a multilayered optical memory, in which recording layers are wound onto a shaft. Multilayered media are fabricated easily by winding a two-layered filmlm, which is composed of a photosensitive layer and a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) layer. We showed certain advantages of RoCAM and also demonstrated a prototype of RoCAM and the recording and reading results for two layers.
