Securing information using multi-lock single-step digital holography

Paper Abstract

In random phase encoded encryption the risk arises in the lost of decrypted key. Thus we propose a optical holographic encrypted data storage scheme based on deterministic phase encoding multiplexed scheme by using a lenticular lens sheet. In the proposed data storage scheme, patterns of encrypted images are captured digital holographically in a CCD by using lenticular lens sheet phase-encoded multiplexing. The digital hologram can be acquired, operated and stored easily in computer. However, the technique of development and problem of reconstruction also accompany in in-line digital holography. Therefore, this work proposed a novel, simple and effective approach that can be applied to suppress numerically the major blurring caused by the zero-order image of numerical reconstruction. The simulation and experimental results that are applying to the holographic encryption by using a lenticular lens sheet placed as a phase modulator in the path of the reference beam demonstrates the practical feasibility. The rotating and shifting a lenticular lens sheet provides a simple yet effective method of increasing the performance of holographic encryption.
