Paper Abstract

In this paper, we briefly review optically pumped type-II "W" quantum-well semiconductor lasers that emit in the midinfrared wavelengths. In addition, we demonstrate on-chip unstable resonator cavity devices that exhibit excellent lateral beam quality.
