Paper Abstract

We have studied the bi-directional reflection (BRDF) and mono-static bi-directional reflection (MBR) for a retro-reflected tag at 1.55 μm. The tag is specially designed for strong reflection in the retro-reflection direction for optical communication in free space. Due to multiple scattering, the larger the incident angle, the stronger the MBR.
